The sessions are 55 minutes long.
The first session is an opportunity to express your goals and to think about what is blocking you from achieving them at the present moment. It’s also an opportunity to hear from you any other relevant information you feel necessary to share.
It’s also a very important time for you to sense and feel if we are a good fit. We are all unique and our needs are unique. It’s important you feel comfortable in the therapeutic process in order to move through to making change.
Subsequent sessions will go into more depth regarding blocks, resistance and challenges that arise in achieving goals. All sessions involve some type of body work.
The amount of time spent in therapy is very individual. The frequency of sessions is also very individual. I would say that in the beginning, there is potentially more need for frequent sessions in order to support initial change and to feel the support of the therapist as a buffer for that change.
